Course Description
Stress is an unavoidable part of life. From time to time, we all experience increased levels of stress. However, if left untreated, stress can continue to build and become unmanageable. Regardless of which type of stressor, everyone can learn healthy habits and coping skills to effectively manage stress on an ongoing basis. Stress management is an important topic given the unique stressors one faces working in the mechanical industry. A master level counselor will provide training on the following concepts:
- Definitions of stress in the workplace, community and home
- Unique stressors in the construction industry
- Various techniques for managing stress, before it manages you
- Ongoing support and community resources
Kathy Andros Bio
Kathy Andros is a graduate of the University of Toledo and an Ohio Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She has devoted her career to helping clients with behavioral healthcare issues, working in outpatient and employee assistance program settings. She has specialized in the treatment of anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and workplace stress management for over twenty years. Ms. Andros is a skilled trainer with particular interest in neuroscience and how this affects one’s response to stress.
