ERISA, What’s New and Important to Review
ERISA protects the interests of employee benefit plan participants and their beneficiaries. It requires plan sponsors to provide plan information to participants and establishes standards of conduct for plan managers and other fiduciaries. ERISA launches enforcement provisions to ensure that plan funds are protected and that qualifying participants receive their benefits.

Michael E. Heffernan Bio
Michael Heffernan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University in 1993. Michael received his Juris Doctor degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1998. He was selected as a member of the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution. While in law school, Michael served as a law clerk for the Honorable John Holschuh of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
