DESCRIPTION:BACKFLOW INSTALLER CERTIFICATION \nThe State of Ohio Department of Commerce has implemented an online process for securing the Backflow Installation Certification. The system is designed to verify the identity and compliance of each individual. \nIf you are a new customer\, you need to first set up an IC Customer Portal Account and Create an OHID. The link below will guide you through this process Initial IC Customer Portal Set-up. All fees\, applications and certificate of proficiency (24-hour Backflow class) must be through the portal. \nUpon completing the PITC Backflow Certification class\, you will obtain;\n• Your initial Backflow Technician Application Addendum\n• You certificate of proficiency for the 24-hour Backflow course must be uploaded\nYou are now ready to access the ICCustomerPortal pay your fee\, and upload the required documentation. \nOnce your application has been approved\, you will receive an email notification to the email address submitted as contact\,  you can then reserve a seat for your Backflow Technician Exam in Columbus\, OH. DESCRIPTION:MEDICAL GAS RECERTIFICATION \nRecertification can be accomplished by (1) completing a minimum 4-hour training course to subsequent editions of NFPA 99\, and (2) successfully passing a proctored multiple-choice open book examination. Both the course and the examination are required according to ASSE 6000\, sections 10-3.3.1 and 10-3.3.2. The recertification examination contains forty questions based on the most current edition of NFPA 99. Candidates must answer a minimum of thirty-two (32) of the questions (80%) correctly on the examination to achieve a passing grade.
